The Magnolia Tree

Knight Judah's favorite place to play this summer:
If he wasn't in the pool,
you could be sure he was in the Tree.
Because of the gallons of rain that have
been dumped on the Hilltop,
outside play time has been
practically non-existant.
But with a sunny day,
the Knight's back in the magnolia tree,

And enjoying every minute!

Fun With Liberty

Here's one of my favorite trip pictures: Lady Faith and I on the
Ferry around Ellis Island
and the Statue of Liberty.
Here's me with Lady Liberty.

Here' s what the Princess and her Knight
looked like for most of the trip. She loved the water. She wanted to go swimming in it.
'Pwash, pwash?!' she'd ask.
Notice his shirt? He was lonely amid the sea of blue
known as Yankees Fans.

Precious in Pink

The Princess heads off to a wedding reception on Saturday.

Wearing a new dress

See the fluffy cuffs? They were her favorite part of the Dress
Her escort: Knight Judah

Gallant is he not?

And now she says farewell...

Raindrops on Roses....

Rain is in the forecast for a week
here at Hilltop Palace.
I enjoy a thunderstorm, but
dreary weather day and night
is not my favorite,
I feel cold in my very bones then.
I had an opportunity to stay at home
with just Sarah today and she quickly fell asleep.
So I sat and watched
the rain cloud up the big windows and I remembered a poem I read
a long time ago in my school readers:

I Saw God Wash The World
by: William L. Stidger

I saw God wash the world last night
With his sweet showers on high,
And then, when morning came, I saw
Him hang it out to dry.

He washed each tiny blade of grass
And every trembling tree;
He flung his showers against the hill,
And swept the billowing sea.

The white rose is a cleaner white,
The red rose is more red,
Since God washed every fragrant face
And put them all to bed.

There's not a bird, there's not a bee
That wings along the way
But is a cleaner bird and bee
Than it was yesterday.

I saw God wash the world last night.
Ah, would He had washed me
As clean of all my dust and dirt
As that old white birch tree.

God is giving us a good washing this week,
preparing us for something awesome
and next week he'll hanging us out to dry

The Little Princess, the Big Helper

Princess helped me sort and fold the costumes left in our living room
since filming the Skits and Camp. I needed
a large duffel to carry all the clothes in. The Princess decided it would make a better carriage.

She is also looking into having all her hats fashioned
after this one that she found in the piles.
What do you think?

The first entry...

of the Chronicles of the Lady Dvora, begun this 13th day of August the year of our Lord two thousand and seven.
I hope they shall prove interesting to you as I tell the tales of my life. It seems a bit funny to begin the tales now, when most of the exciting things of the summer have already passed by, but I shall endeavor to entertain you with what happened to us in the past and what will happen in the future.

A bit about the Court: It gathers at the Hilltop Palace and consists of eleven members. They are as follows:
The Dairy King
The Lady Beautiful
Lady Joy
Lady Grace
Lady Hope
Lady Faith
Lady Dvora
Lady Patience
Lord Justice
Knight Judah
The Princess
