The Footsteps Die out Forever....

Charles Dickens.
There seem to be a only a few authors who are able to involve me in a story so much that I want to cry and laugh right along with the characters.
Dickens does that to me with his books, Nicholas Nickleby and A Tale of Two Cities.
I could give you big long passages taken from the Novel in hope that you would enjoy the story the same as I do, but I have come to realize that- without a doubt- the story builds upon itself so the simple words don't hold the same significane to you as they do to me -unless you have also read the whole story.
The last sentance is:
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known."
That's a famous quote.
You can probably also quote the beginining of the book, I'll give you a hint:
"It was the best of times...."
Can you finish the sentance?
Probably...
you might even know the geist of what happens in between those two sentences.
I wish I could do the same things with my words,
make characters and places so clear to a person that they can remember them
with affection
or with tears.
But until I can do that I'll have to be content with Charles Dicken's world of characters
